About our family business

Food, family, and festival tradition

We are a family-run food business proud to serve hearty American favorites and Caribbean-inspired meals at festivals and events that bring communities together.

Our story

Carol's Concessions began in 2008 at Fort Belvoir's Independence Day Festival with a simple menu of funnel cakes and fresh-squeezed lemonade. Driven by Carol's passion for soul food, American favorites, and Caribbean flavors, the business soon evolved into a full-service kitchen known for serving some of the DMV's best jerk, BBQ, and curry chicken, alongside classic favorites like Italian sausage with peppers and onions and bratwurst topped with fresh, seasoned sauerkraut.

Today, Carol's Concessions is a staple anchor vendor at Independence Day festivals, Oktoberfests, Renaissance festivals, and private catered events. With over 60 years of combined experience in country, soul, and Caribbean cooking, Carol's Concessions delivers bold flavor and crowd-favorite dishes wherever it goes. If you haven't tried Carol's food yet, make it a must-taste this festival season.
